How I work

My method of working is to be along side you, understanding your perspective and adapting to your specific and unique situation, your culture and your vision.  In essence it is a collaborative relationship built through trust that grows as you do. 

My success depends upon your success, so you will always receive a personal service from me.

As for how I work logistically, I provide all my one-on-one clients the option of online sessions if they are outside of Madrid.  For corporate clients I provide the option of intensive in-person short courses for groups or VIPs (traveling to your location is rarely a problem), or online sessions.  Clients based in the Madrid area also can benefit from longer term courses in-person too if desired.

All my services are conducted in English. All material is designed with non-native speakers of English in mind, so everyone can enjoy and understand the sessions. In addition, I provide English language support for participants to practice and improve their language skills simultaneously to the material provided for FREE!

​

The only prerequisite is that all participants must have a working English level of B2 ( according to the European Framework) or above. This is because the majority of companies nowadays consider this the minimum standard level to pass a job interview and communicate effectively.

My Driving Philosophy & Motivation

It is a question that rarely gets asked, but it is critical to understanding the motivations and trust needed in relationship that can either lift you up to achieve success, or let you down with false expectations:

"Why do you do, what you do?"

With professional experience covering 2 decades, my name is Matt Bleakley and I have seen and experienced many types of success and failure from both individuals and companies all over the world.  The strongest indicator to which side people land on has always come down to the way messages have been communicated and understood. It is something so basic and underappreciated because everyone thinks they know what good communication is (usually, to explain things the way they see the world, rather than how their targeted recipients understand they message).


In the past, people in companies principally focused on just technical skills to function and reach "success".  Although these are essential to all good businesses, this imbalance in skill-set often has raised human issues regarding motivation, expectations, quality control, stakeholder relationships, image and ultimately financial resiliency or losses.

​

Today, globalisation and connectivity has meant peoples careers and business´ are no longer the same as they were even 20 years ago (especially since the global pandemic this year).  Now, more and more people in business have come to the realisation that success is even more reliant on the relationships people have with one another, and more importantly how they communicate their message both internally (to themselves) and externally (to the rest of the world - including other internal stakeholders).  It is no longer about just profit and loss, the word "success" has evolved in meaning and is so much more dynamic than that. Instead, the word is becoming redefined to include things like social value, people engagement, trust and even loyalty - something that very few people or companies are fully equipped to do effectively, and require navigation and/or training to level up and compete at the same level as the competition.

​

I have personally seen and experienced this problem over and over in many companies, with many people, in many different markets all across the world.  Whereas the specific details are unique and varied, the basic underlying core issues are the same: people (and institutions) don´t truly understand how to effectively communicate properly, and as a consequence they limit their own success, or in some cases loose out to the competition. 

​

So, to answer the question "Why do I do, what I do?" I say it is because in the 21st Century, we deserve better than that for ourselves, for our companies and for our society to understand and use this power inside of us all and come together to strengthen our business relationships making it a win (for me) - a win (for you) - and a win (for everyone else) situation. 


Rarely is it the what  that gives us the results we want, but rather it is the how we do it that is key.  If we don´t focus on how we communicate our true value, no one will listen, and our success´ will remain fragile, short-lived and limited. And ultimately, this will lead us to always be struggling for survival, being stressed and constantly underachieving our goals. The alternative though is to set ourselves on a course that enables us to thrive and fulfil our potential and not only meeting our goal expectations, but exceeding them, which is what everyone wants isn´t it?
